Academics/Programs
Breckenridge Community Schools will provide the time and resources to collaboratively and continually align PK-12 curriculum.
In anatomy class, students engaged in a hands-on activity dissecting gummy bears to learn about anatomical planes and sections. Understanding these concepts is essential for accurately describing locations and orientations of structures within the human body, which is foundational for future studies in health and medical sciences.
📜 Happy Constitution Day!
In honor of the September 17, 1787 completion of our Constitution, students explored our newly assembled Freedom Shrine in the media center this week. What a great interactive project and a wonderful way to bring history to life for our Huskies! 💙💛🐾
🐔 Our Ag Science students have been preparing for this day—the chickens have arrived! Students will now have the opportunity to study the life cycle of the chickens while also preparing them for meat bird production. Hands-on learning at its best—great job Huskies! 💙💛🐾
🚗💨 Mrs. Giles’ STEM class has been hard at work designing and testing their fan cars! Students are engineering them to travel as far and as fast as possible while enjoying the excitement of hands-on learning. Way to go, Huskies! 💙💛🐾
🌍 Mrs. Baldwin's 6th graders are putting their geography skills to the test with a fun game of Latitude & Longitude Battleship! 📍🚢 A creative way to learn while having fun! 👏📚
Getting students actively engaged in learning is so important! 📚✨ Research shows that when students move, discuss, and interact with content, they retain information longer and develop stronger critical-thinking skills. 💡🙌
Ms. Gronski’s classroom is a great example, demonstrating active learning strategies that keep students moving, thinking, and learning together! 👏🎉
