🎉 Fun Friday Was a Huge Success! 🎉

Our latest MS Fun Friday was an absolute blast! Students had an amazing time unwinding and connecting with friends. The energy was high with exciting games, awesome dance moves, and plenty of delicious pizza and snacks to go around.

It's always wonderful to see our middle schoolers enjoying themselves and building community. A big thank you to everyone who made this event so memorable!

A Breckenridge Tradition going strong! 🚜💙

What an incredible turnout at the Toy Tractor Show last weekend! We want to send a massive THANK YOU to our dedicated FFA Alumni, our hard-working FFA members, and every single community member who walked through the doors.

Seeing the gym packed with families keeping this Breckenridge tradition alive warms our hearts. Whether you were a vendor, a collector, or a family just enjoying the day, thank you for making this event a success year after year.

🎶 Huskies absolutely CRUSHED it at Solo & Ensemble! 🐾

Last weekend, our middle school musicians took a big step by taking the stage all by themselves to perform at the Solo & Ensemble Festival. Performing alone takes immense courage, focus, and a ton of hard work—and these Huskies showed all of that.

We are thrilled to report incredible results from our 9 solo performances: 🥇 8 students earned a Division 1 rating (The highest score possible!) 🥈 1 student earned a Division 2 rating (The second-highest score!) (Scores are on a scale of 1–5)

For students who have only been playing their instruments for 2 or 3 years, this level of musicianship is outstanding. Their dedication is real, and it showed on stage.

Let’s give a huge round of applause to:

Amiyah Warner - Div 1

Liliana Larkin - Div 1

Gabriella Weigold - Div 1

Sophia Burleson - Div 1

Madelyn Howes - Div 1

Taylor Staley - Div 1

Quynten Sanders - Div 1

Leland McFall - Div 1

Peyton Stone - Div 2

We could not be more proud of these young musicians! Congratulations! 💙💛

Huskies helping Huskies! 🐾⚙️🤝

After wrapping up their unit on Simple Machines, our 3rd graders had some special guests from the high school join them today. Mrs. Marr’s Physics students came over to collaborate on a serious engineering challenge!

The younger Huskies provided the designs, and the high school Huskies used their physics expertise to help bring those blueprints to life. Together, they built some incredible Rube Goldberg machines.

It’s amazing to see our students working together across grade levels. Go Huskies! 💙💛

🍍 A Taste of Latin America!

Our students had an incredible time exploring new flavors and cultures this week! They were thrilled to try a variety of fruits from Latin America, including dragon fruit, starfruit, and mango. To add an authentic "kick," many students even sampled their fruit with Tajin, a delicious mix of peppers, salt, and dehydrated lemon juice.

We also had an adventurous moment trying to crack open a coconut in class! While the coconut water unfortunately spilled before we could collect it, it provided a great hands-on learning moment.

3rd Grade Field Trip

Our 3rd graders recently took an exciting field trip to the Ziibiwing Center in Mt. Pleasant! It was a day filled with exploration and discovery as they immersed themselves in Anishinabe culture and heritage.

Check out these highlights from our day:

Stepping Back in Time: Students were able to explore traditional structures, including a wigwam, to learn about historic lifeways firsthand.

Guided Discovery: Expert guides led the students through detailed dioramas, sharing stories about the local environment and the history of the land.

Hands-on Learning: The class enjoyed interactive games and group activities that brought the lessons of the center to life.

We are so proud of our students for their curiosity and engagement during this meaningful experience!

Personnel/Leadership

🚨 Safety First 🚨

Our MS/HS BERT team (Building Emergency Response Team) was hard at work this past Friday ensuring our campus stays safe and prepared.

The team conducted a comprehensive cardiac emergency drill, practicing the rapid response protocols and life-saving measures necessary to protect our students and staff. While we hope to never need these skills, consistent training is the key to a quick and effective response.

A huge thank you to our dedicated team members for their commitment to campus safety and for always being ready to jump into action! 💪
