Breckenridge Community Schools – Welcome Back 2025–2026

Dear Breckenridge Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We are excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and opportunity at Breckenridge Community Schools.

This year, our theme is One Team, One Goal, Every Student Thrives. It reflects our belief that every staff member, every family, and every student plays an important role in building success. When we work together, our students know they are supported, valued, and capable of great things.

Over the past few years, we’ve made strong progress, improving programs, updating facilities, and strengthening connections with families and our community. None of this would be possible without your trust and partnership.

As we begin a new school year, know that our team is committed to providing safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environments for every child who walks through our doors. Together, we’ll make sure every student is seen, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

Thank you for being a vital part of our school community. With your partnership, I’m confident this will be another outstanding year for our Huskies.

One Team, One Goal, Every Student Thrives.

Go Huskies! 🐾

Learning Environment/Culture

Breckenridge Community Schools will build relationships with a focus on creating engaging opportunities that encourage student involvement.

📚✨ This week was full of learning and preparation for our Huskie staff as we get ready to welcome students back!

✅ Tuesday – We kicked off with a staff breakfast, important training on school safety, HR, Title IX, and SafeSchools. Teachers also spent valuable time preparing their classrooms.
✅ Wednesday – Building principals set the tone for the year, laying out expectations and modeling the culture we want to see in our schools.
✅ Thursday – Each building focused on new initiatives:
• BES – Strengthening literacy instruction
• MS/HS – Building co-teaching and inclusion practices

We are excited to begin the year with a strong foundation of learning and collaboration—always keeping students first. 🐾🐾🐾

👏🌾 Huskie FFA Spotlight! 🌾👏

At Monday night’s Board of Education meeting, our FFA officer team had the opportunity to present and share their experience from Fort Custer this summer. They also explained how Breckenridge FFA was selected as one of only 30 chapters nationwide to participate in the National FFA Chapter Connect Program.

These young leaders represented our school and community with pride—they did an amazing job!

Academics/Programs

Breckenridge Community Schools will provide the time and resources to collaboratively and continually align PK-12 curriculum.

Linewize

💻✨ At Breckenridge Community Schools, student safety comes first—online and in the classroom.

We are excited to share that we use Linewize, an internet safety system that:
✅ Filters student devices for safe browsing
✅ Gives teachers and parents visibility into student online activity
✅ Allows parents to sign up for access to help support safe, responsible internet use at home

Together, we can ensure our Huskies are learning and exploring safely online. 💙💛

Personnel/Leadership

Breckenridge Community Schools will support, recruit, and retain highly qualified personnel to collaborate and meet the needs of our students.

Help us welcome our new PE/Health teacher, Mr. Matt Hoppe, to Breckenridge Community Schools! 🐾

We’re excited to have him join the Huskie team and can’t wait to see the positive impact he’ll make with our students. Welcome to Breckenridge, Mr. Hoppe! 👏
